2 days in Paris - Day 2

Started our day off with a quick nip into the food market near the hotel - Marche St-Quentin.

We then walked to the Marais area and the Pompidou and had a wonder around before grabbing breakfast in a lovely little cafe - Favorit

We then walked to Place de Vosges which is the oldest square in Paris - it is surrounded by lovely buildings and had a little band playing.

Next we headed to Jardinde Tuileries and to the Musee d'Orangerie which is in the garden. The museum had some beautiful and extremely large Monet's.

Next we headed to Hotel de les Invalides - where Napoleon's tomb is - we didn't go into the exhibition but wandered round the beautiful parade ground.

Next we headed to the Eiffel Tower and took a few snaps before heading to the Arc de Triomphe as the sun was setting.

We climbed up the many stairs to the top and got there as the sun was starting to go down.

We waited up there till it was dark and Alex  was able to get some great shots with his SLR and tri-pod.

We then headed down and walked down the Champs Élysées before jumping on the metro to the Latin quarter for a few drinks and dinner.

After dinner we walked to Le Louvre to get some night time shots.

And with very sore feet (we calculated we walked around 10 miles) we jumped on the metro back to the hotel.

We were really lucky with the weather and had a beautiful day.
